ChatGPT-5 Syncs with Google Apps

OpenAI has introduced new integrations for ChatGPT Plus users, allowing ChatGPT-5 to link directly with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts.

With these connectors, users can now access and utilise information from their Google apps seamlessly within ChatGPT conversations, making it easier to manage emails, schedules, and contacts without leaving the chat interface.

ChatGPT Connectors

A connector serves as a link between ChatGPT and external applications such as Canva, Dropbox, and Gmail, allowing users to integrate these services and work with them directly inside the ChatGPT interface.

Access to Google apps is not enabled by default and must be activated manually by the user. Initially offered to Pro subscribers, this feature has now been extended to those on the Plus plan.

How To Enable Google App Connectors

Step 1: Select the + button, then click on the “Connected apps” option.

Next, choose the “Connected Apps” link to proceed.

From there, select the Gmail app to establish the connection.

How Connectors Work With ChatGPT-5

OpenAI stated that once these tools are enabled, ChatGPT will automatically use them when relevant, allowing you to bring information from these apps into your chats more quickly and without having to select them manually each time.

This feature is included in GPT-5 and will be introduced to Pro users worldwide this week, with Plus, Team, Enterprise, and Education plans receiving it in the following weeks. To activate it, go to Settings → Connectors → Connect on the chosen application.
