When it comes to analysing your business activities and how you are performing, there is a lot to be said for having as much information as you can get your hands on. There is no doubt that some people will cite an information overload and complain about how too much information to wade through but if you can utilise this information correctly, you will find that you are able to better judge your performances. This means that you can work towards further success in the future and this is something that Twitter is hoping to offer to their users.

This is because the social media platform is rolling out a new feature for analytics which is based on individual tweets. Yes, you will soon be able to determine how well individual tweets are performing and a number of users already have access to this information. People who have the opportunity to check out the performance of individual tweets will find that there is a bar graph icon alongside the standard icons that are found at the bottom of tweets and in their timeline. Some users are gaining access to the analysis through opening up the “View Tweet Activity” section.

Once you gain access to the information, there is a whole host of valuable data waiting for you to use. You will see how many views your tweet has received and you will be able to check out the total engagement with your tweet. This can be broken down into how many views a photo or video has received or how many links a click has received. It can also provide you information on how many people have clicked on the Tweet details.

More information can be a positive thing if used well

While this information can be obtained from the analytics dashboard on Twitter, the fact that it is now available for users in their timelines and on tweets means that it is much more convenient. The convenience factor is likely to increase the focus that people place on this information, which means that you or your business will likely start to pay more attention to the success, or lack of success from individual tweets. There is no getting away from the fact that anything which provides insight into a firm’s activities have to be seen as a positive thing and this is a big step from Twitter.

At the moment, the service is only open to people who have signed up to use Twitter adverts or who have been using free analytics but it is hoped that it will be rolled out further in the future. It is also available for people who use Twitter via the iOS or Android apps, which is clearly a lot of people, and it can be seen on screen if the feature is available.

With more people and businesses turning to social media to boost their presence and reach out to people, being able to analyse the activity of your tweets in an easy and convenient manner has to be seen as a great tool.
